to get caught. at one intersection, he blows past a red light, and almost t-bones a grey car. then you see him driving on the wrong side of the road, right into oncoming traffic. he even jumps a curb to get around drivers stopped at a
light. and at another intersection, there's several close calls as he tries to cross the street. albuquerque police says this chase started in the foothills, continued into the southwest, finally ending in the southeast. that's where you see the driver
and his female passenger jump out of the suv at louisiana and acoma. they make a run for it, but then the man turns around. he grabs something from the vehicle, before joining the woman inside a nearby tire shop. apd says it may have been a gun.
he was armed yesterday. so we're obviously treating him as thought he is armed and dangerous. megan: you see as the first officer arrives on scene and he cautiously peeks around the corner. backup arrives a short time
later and police surround the area training their guns at the tire shop. thankfully, everyone who was inside the business got out unharmed. swat officers move in. at around 12:30, you hear a flashbang.
minutes later, the woman now identified as 28-year-old alisha lopez comes out and surrenders. they call it the war zone and it's living up to its name. megan: again, here is a live look from skies seven. police say the man refuses to come out.
